1 Month!

Well... Sweet Boy, Bub, Pooper, Puffaroo, Buddy Boo a.k.a. Myles you are officially one month old.  At this point in your little life you growing away and taking up more space in our hearts each day too.  Yesterday, May 12th, was your biggest milestone so far you rolled over for the first time from your tummy to your back.  Mommy had you doing some tummy time and you tried to tell her you didn't want to be on your tummy but she wouldn't listen. So you took things into your own hand and over you went! You are a strong, strong baby boy (both body and mind).  You may have gotten a smidgen of a temper from your Daddy and a little stubbornness from your Mama.  As long as you keep them under control I think they will serve you well.  Another first was helping your Mama celebrate her first official Mother's Day (most people don't recognize you for having a 4 legged, furry baby).  You spoiled mama with a great day and some beautiful jewelry (Daddy may have helped a little). Thank you sooo much for making me a mommy Myles!

At one month you are cooing and kicking and grooving when you are awake, and you especially love to do this on the changing table.  We don't know exactly how much you weigh right now, but when we left the hospital you weighed 8 lbs. 1 oz. and by the time of your two week check up you were up to 9lbs. 4 oz, on an empty tummy. You love to eat, and rarely miss a meal!  You eat about every three hours during the day and recently started going 5 or 6 hours between feedings at night, but typically at this point it is about 4 in the night.  You absolutely love staring at the lights and the ceiling fan (maybe you will grow up to be a electrician).  Another one of your favorite things is you pacifier.  Mama has all different names for it; paci, binky, pacifier, far (which is what she called it when she was little) call it whatever we love it too when you are being a "Pooper". You aren't officially smiling yet, but every once in a wile you sneak one in unknowingly. The last one Mama caught was on Mother's Day right after you had given her a golden shower.  You had your paci in your mouth and it started to fall out when you relaxed that little mouth and let loos a big old gummy smile. When you sleep you prefer to be sprawled out during the day!  Sometimes when we hold you your body is so limp and your little arms just dangle and sway.  It is so sweet! At night we swaddle you to keep you snug as a bug in a rug.  We have recently started sleeping you at an incline to help with your acid reflux too.  Bath time has prooven to be hit or miss.  Sometimes you like it and sometimes you don't.  Mama typically loves it, because well you are just so darn cute sitting in that little tub all nakey.  However, the other day you decided to poop in the tub and Mama didn't love that, neither did you! You have your fussy spells due to gas and acid reflux (this is when Mama endearingly refers to you as her Pooper) but as soon as it passes you are back to your, Sweet Boy self.

Daddy has gotten to feed you a couple bottles and the first time he did you were both in heaven, but the second time you two were showing off those tempers I told you about.  Daddy absolutely loves you soo much, he face times us when he can from school and gives you kisses every morning when he regrettably has to leave us. He likes to listen to his Journey lullabies with you and whenever the opportunity to get a little skin to skin or nap with you on his chest presents itself he takes full advantage (this is also good for your tummy trouble so its a win-win).

You and your puppy brother, Teddy, are quickly becoming best buds.  Teddy has taken on the role of proud protective big brother.  If you start fussing in another room Teddy is sure to come find me if he is with you, or he is sure to race to your rescue if he is with me.  Its as if he is saying, "Mama he needs your help, I'll show you where he is!" (he seems quite frustrated when I don't jump right to it) One day you were both crying and yelling at me while I was in he shower, patience is not your best virtue yet, but sometimes Mama's have to do something for themselves too and your lungs need a work out so you can say you got your cardio in for the day. You two are pretty sweet and like taking naps together.

You are already an amazing baby boy at 1 month old and I can't wait to see what God has in store for you in the next month and all the next months and years to come Myles Jordan.  Happy 1 month birthday!

Mama might have gone a little camera crazy, but darn it you are just too darn cute!

Happy Boy!
