6 Months...Slow Down!!!!

You two are seriously best buddies!
Loving those toes!!!

Thumper, I can't believe you are 6 months old!!!!! You are halfway to one.  I have heard from some friends that the days are long but the year is short and I couldn't agree more.  You have grown up so much in just the last couple weeks.  We have seen a big change in your ability to entertain yourself.  Most of the time you are busy talking, rolling, thumping, smiling, drooling, bouncing, gnawing, giggling, screeching, etc. Notice I did not say sleeping.  You did sleep all night (or at least all of us stayed in our beds all night and you only fussed a little) one night.  You have started "playing" with Teddy. Speaking of Teddy he sure is enjoying your new menu.  Teddy enjoys the puffs the most, but
I am pretty sure this sums up your opinion of food from these first couple weeks: "MOM! The Sweet Potatoes Please!!!!!" You seem to love sweet potatoes, tolerate carrots, peas and squash, but despise green beans.  We love that you are getting big enough to enjoy eating dinner as a family.
Such a big boy!
Love that open mouthed toothless grin!

You take up the whole rug these days!!!!!

You are an absolute rolling machine.  I am pretty sure at Thanksgiving you will need to challenge uncle Grant to a round of "Steam Roller" (my money is on you buddy).  It seems like each day you are doing something new.  You are getting to be quite the talker and say "Da-Da" pretty good. Each day we continue to fall more in love with you, my latest favorite is your fuzzy hair!  We say, "Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear. Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair. Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn't fuzzy was he?" a few times a day and you giggle and squawk just like you know we are teasing you.

6 months seems to have been a little bit of a magical time.  As I said you are definitely becoming a more happy and content baby.  This means I am not terrified to go to the store or out to eat etc. with you.  Also I think that I am feeling more confident in my role as your mama these days.  I don't feel like I have to call MiMi or look online for every little thing (just the big stuff now).  I am learning to read you and trust my instincts.  I absolutely love being your Mama and I am learning to trust that God matched us up together because we "get" each other ;) Love you more than beans and rice!

Is this thing edible?

Some serious Tug-A-War
