Life in a Sauna

Shocker for most of you, but I am NOT writing this post to complain, but instead to say thanks God for this heat.  Most of you are probably thinking I am totally crazy, and I guarantee that each morning I have a few other thoughts in my mind when I look at the thermometer and see that it is 95 degrees in our classroom. But tonight I am making myself think about how amazing this really is.  I am sitting on my couch right now curled up in my ac, freshly showered and enjoying the fact that I may have even seen goose bumps creep down my arms stemming from the wet hair resting on my shoulders.  I am looking around our house and see that it is, in fact, clean.  We actually have enjoyed cooking and eating meals together.  Jordan has had morning practice for football and been home in the evening.  I have taken two GLORIOUS naps. I don't feel bad about putting my hair up in a nasty pony tail, because it is pretty much necessary to get through the day. I can actually keep up with school stuff, well sort of, I can keep up with the paperwork portion, as far as getting in all the teaching I would like to have done by now..... yeah, but I am focusing on the positive.  I got to go out for ice cream with friends and no I don't even have to feel guilty about it because it was totally necessary and I am sure they would all back me on that.  Tomorrow I get to enjoy time with another friend and my husband in the afternoon. I am hoping to bake an apple pie with some apples a friend gave us from their apple tree (yes I realize I am going to have the oven on which doesn't make sense, but it is going to taste really good once a little ice cream melts on it).  Be sure to find the silver lining friends!

P.S. I was told by another teacher 10 minutes a day in the sauna is extremely healthy and helps to lengthen your life.  So I guess we are going to be around awhile!!!!!
