While lying awake as usual in bed these days, I dreerily rolled over an saw that it was a little after six. I groaned a little to myself wondering how long I had been awake and decided I might as well make another trip to the bathroom and get a drink to see if I might be lucky enough to fall asleep again. While shuffelling my feet along the hallway (Teddy trotting along behind of course), it hit me. Megan is about to be induced! I rushed to my phone to send that final text to one of my best friends before she becomes mama to two beautiful babes. As I pick up my phone and see that red signal my hear skips a beat and sure enough there it is the message announcing that baby girl Avery Ann Frederiksen has already arrived!
I let Teddy out for his morning constitution :) while I whispered to let little man know that an amazing baby girl had been born. He must have understood right away just how much fun he will have one day playing with this beautiful little thing because he gave a joyful kick and didn't stop for the next hour. I ran back to our dark, soft bed and as I crawled into the pile of blankets and pillows. I rudely glared the light of my phone in Jordan's face so he could read the wonderful news. I know he was excited, but if you know Jordan you know sleep is a true talent of his. I laid awake after responding with two quick congratulatory texts, enjoying Puff's happy dance about this new little friend, an anxiously awaiting a text with some more details from the proud parents. A few tears or joy and excitement may have dampened my pillow at some point this morning. I am now overly excited to meet our man and introduce him to all of the little friends that have already gotten their feet wet in this crazy world of ours.
We hope to go visit Miss Avery tomorrow meet the beautiful baby girl who made a fast and furious entry into the world in a couple hours time adding 6 lbs. 12 oz. and 20 inches of ridiculous joy and beauty to this world.
