Another new thing is....... drum roll please...... you finally say, "MaMa!!!!!" Whether or not you know what you are saying yet or not, it melts my heart to hear you say it in your sweet little voice. You are now pretty much eating only "real" food. You take after your mom in your love of carbs for sure. Mac N Cheese will be good no matter how old you get, pizza is great and you can get all those food groups covered ;), spaghetti...the messier the better. You are quite impressive in your eating skills. Some meals I am pretty sure we have cut you off after eating as much as some adults. I might blame Daddy for the bottomless pit you are, we will just hope you have his metabolism to match the appetite. Despite all that eating it seems like you are using it all up and just growing more solid and less chubby. Your hair is actually laying down now days, and you are looking as handsome as ever.
While you still love very much to play catch and you even caught one on your own! You have taken a new liking to all your different cars. I think you enjoy being on the move with them and making all sorts of sounds. As of now your car isn't quite realistic, but its something. Lets just say your lungs were built for both speed and endurance in the vocal department! You are constantly pointing to the newness of the wonderland that surrounds you. Hopefully you continue to explore it and embrace it for many years to come. You also absolutely love reading books... well sometimes, when you feel like sitting still anyway. You also love to play under your high chair, the table, behind the door, in all sorts of nooks. I have a sneaky suspicion on of your birthday gifts will make a great new hang out for you to play in.
As we are creeping closer to your first birthday and I reflect on the past year I can't believe how much joy you have brought us. To say it has all been rainbows would be a lie, but we made it threw the trenches (hiding from daylight, praying for sleep, clean clothes, and a hot meal), into the hand to hand combat (making endless decisions and second guessing those decisions), and I think we are clearing the cold war stage too (crap.... is that normal?! Lets just wait it out). I can not believe a year has gone by. Looking through pictures makes me wish I had a time machine to just visit some of those days and moments one more time. Instead I go to bed each night with a smile on my face and dream about those memories and imagine the unforgettable moments that lay ahead. I don't know what I imagined it would feel like to be your Mommy, but I know I never imagined it could be this wonderful. You are the one and only you, and that is absolutely perfect for this Mama! WE LOVE YOU!!!!!
Let me see... how can I make this interesting?
Ohhhhh! You think this will make me sit still?

You found my weakness... These books are amazing! Especially the duck one, with the scratchy feet! Wow!
Come and get me!
Oh I do love this song!
I have to clap my hands!
