Red White and Blue

Over the fourth of July we spent some time in Minneapolis with the Sheahans.  John (my father in law) ran in a half marathon Thursday morning.  We slept in a little but we were definitely there to cheer him on down the homestretch.  While I sat sipping my coffee, Ali and I discussed how we felt like such overachievers watching all these people sweating out after running.  Meanwhile we had been working hard sleeping, brewing coffee, brushing our teeth, and meandering down the path to clap our hands while they ran by.  Then we enjoyed some sun at the Twins game.  I cheered on the Twins and Jordan cheered on the Yankees (in answer to your questions Jamie, No apparently we don't ever cheer for the same team). The Yankees came out with the win. That night we had a wonderful dinner at The Local outside followed by the game Anomia.  This game was a good one and will definitely be on my Christmas list (if I don't by it before then).  The night ended with my favorite, FIREWORKS!!! With our faces turned up at the sky we soaked in the explosion of color and light in the sky while our ears listened to the boom echo up and down the river.  Friday we did a little shopping and I found a few bargains including a 3 dollar sweater, whoop whoop!  Then we headed towards home with a pit stop at The OP in Cedar Falls.
