So apparently we have been married for 3 years! Funny how it doesn't seem like it has been that long. Perhaps that is because we are those crazy people who have been together more or less since middle school. According to Jordan I just dated him so I could wear his football jersey in middle school, but I like to think even then it was meant to be. We have had some ups and downs, but through it all I have always been happy he is by my side. Whenever things are good or bad he is the first person I want to tell, and when we are apart I am always counting down until we will be together again. He is always supportive and optimistic and that is just part of what I love about him. I feel so lucky to be married to my absolute best friend in the world and so happy we get to tackle this world of ours together!
We enjoyed our day with a few fun perks thrown into an otherwise typical day. We helped out with VBS in the morning and I returned to find a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers waiting for me. Then we packed up our baby (he was our anniversary gift to each other last year) and headed out for a picnic in the park. We laid on a sprawled out on a blanket enjoying the seriously perfect weather for as long as we could. Then we had to head home to get our grad school assignment done (which we did on the deck still enjoying the sunshine). After that we showered up and headed to a delicious dinner on the patio at Montage. It was wonderful to head out on a date and it was fun to listen to the two older couples next to us chatting and imagine what we will be like when we are those people. They of course apologized for interrupting our meal at one point to let us know how cute we were and wondered if Jordan knew how much he looked like Owen Wilson. We both just died laughing, he has never heard that before (I like to think he is a more handsome version though).
After sipping drinks we grabbed ice cream from my favorite 4 Queens and went and sat by a little pond to slurped down our ice cream and watch our stomachs expand. Eventually we hopped back in the car and headed home. It was a wonderful night and I am still head over heals happy I am married to Jordan.
